Dietary Changes That may be helpful Adequate amount of dietary fiber are believed to important for people wishing to lose weight, fiber contains bulk & tend to produce sense of fullness. Taking fiber containing foods (like green vegetables, carrots, fruits etc.) about a half an hour before meals helps to subdue the appetite & cut down on calorie intake. Eating foods with high carbohydrate content (such as potato, rice etc.) promotes a more rapid return of hunger & increases subsequent intake of foods.

  • Avoid fried spicy oily & Non-vegetarian recipes.

  • Among fruits avoid banana, chikoo, dates, grapes & pineapples.

  • Avoid food containing huge amount of sugar, cheese & buter, such as candy, cakes, pizzas, burgers, potato chips, ice creams, cookies etc.

  • In the morning take spoonful of pure honey with glass of lukewarm water.

  • Eat freshly prepared and hot food.

 

Lifestyle changes that may be helpful

  • Exercise regularly : Exercise daily for 20-30 minute, preferably under guidance of profesionals or a physician, Remeber 'Any Exercise is better than None, even regular morning walk also helps to reduce the weight.

  • Do not eat for half an hour before & after exercise

  • Try to increase your overall activity, such as climbing stairs instead of using elevator etc.

  • Do not sleep in the afternoon.

  • Sleep for 6-8 hours in the night, go to sleep early before late night.

  • Wake up in early morning, before sunrise.

  • Be Rugular about your timings of Lunch & Dinner. Do not sleep immediately after dinner.
